On the attack a solid grip of swarming tannins is matched equally by a balanced attack of multiple layers of blackberry, cranberry, and crabapple. Plenty of tart, juicy acids tickle the mid palate and the finish gives you a crisp bitter shock on the surprisingly long finish reminding of amarone. Exceptionally balanced middleweight contender that shows what "secondary" grapes can achieve when handled properly.
